I have had two opportunities to go to medical facilities with college classes and draw actual cadavers. A long standing tradition since Leonardo da Vinci's day, it was an interesting if somewhat disturbing experience. The bodies we were able to draw had been thoroughly disected and were dried out and brown in wpite of the preservatives which smelled so awful.
